Khwai
The Khwai region is located near the Moremi Game Reserve in the northeast of Okavango. The region is inhabited by only 400 people, living in a Khwai village on the north bank of the Khwai River. Now this is a conservetion area managed by the villagers, formerly it was a hunting concession.
Khwai is a region inhabited various animals and wildlife including a lot of predators. Similar to the adjacent region of Moremi, Khwai is home for hyena, leopard, lion, hippo, zebra, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, wild dog, cheetah, and various other species.
